For best experience, we encourage the community visiting the Virtual STREAM website to access via Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. If you have a Google account, we also encourage you to be logged on.

Description: This activity will introduce youth to a female coder named Annie Easley. The youth will watch a voice-over presentation that
walks them through historical facts about Annie Easley. They
will also be encouraged to engage in an online coding activity
created by Girls Who Code.

Course: Introduction to Women's Studies (SOC 120)
Description: This activity begins with discussion of words that can be used as positive affirmations. I will then give an example of a positive
affirmation poem written by Maya Angelou, followed by a brief
biological summary of Maya Angelou. The youth will then be
guided through writing a poem using the letters of their name as
affirmation words.
